Competition: Scottish Cup Final 2024

The 150th anniversary of the Scottish Cup sees Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers go head-to-head to get their hands on the world’s oldest domestic trophy.

A first encounter in the Final between the Glaswegian rivals for 22 years couldn’t be a more fitting tribute to honour the competition’s landmark year, with the tournament first established in 1873/74.

Record-competition winners Celtic, who lifted the silverware for a 41st time at last year’s Final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle, needed penalties to earn their place at Hampden this time around. Brendan Rodgers’s side drew 3-3 with Aberdeen in the semi-finals before earning a sixth appearance in eight seasons at the Final courtesy of a nail-biting penalty shoot-out.

The Hoops will face Old Firm rivals Rangers on Saturday 25th May, with Phillippe Clement’s Gers still on course for a domestic treble after manoeuvring themselves past Hearts in the previous round. The Ibrox side lifted the Viaplay Cup Final in December and would love to make it a ‘Hampden double’ to earn a 35th title at the expense of their old foes.

When the two behemoths of Scottish football last crossed swords in the tournament’s showpiece, in 2001/02, Rangers ran out 3-2 winners. May’s contest has all the ingredients to be equally as enthralling an affair, with Celtic having not lost a final since 2002.

It is sure to be a classic cup final and the SFA’s official matchday publication provides supporters with the perfect keepsake from the day. This ‘must have’ piece of memorabilia is a spine-bound A4-size 100-page commemorative edition and is available for £8, plus post and packaging to a UK address.

Overseas deliveries will incur an increased P&P charge, which will be calculated based on the delivery address provided.

This edition will be posted out on Friday 24th May but is not expected to arrive for a pre-match delivery and should arrive in environmentally-friendly paper wrap no more than four working days after despatch.
