Manchester City vs Watford (Carabao Cup)

Manchester City host Watford in the League Cup for only the second time in the club’s history.

City previously met the Hornets in the competition in January 1988, winning 3-1, and will be aiming for a similar outcome as they look to progress past the Third Round stage.

Winners of the League Cup five times in the previous 10 seasons, Pep Guardiola’s men last met the Championship side in April 2022, winning 5-1 at the Etihad Stadium, and haven’t lost to the Hertfordshire side since 1989 in any competition.

Supporters can pre-order a copy of the club’s official match-day publication ‘City’ for this rare cup meeting and have it delivered direct to their door.

This B5 size 52pp perfect-bound issue will be sent first class by Royal Mail on Tuesday 24th September and should be expected no longer than five working days after the game. Any orders subsequently placed after the fixture has happened will aim to be despatched within three working days.
