Queens Park Rangers face Luton Town this September in a first-ever meeting in the EFL Cup between the two Championship sides.

The R’s last got the better of the Hatters at Loftus Road in 2021 but have never crossed swords with the Bedfordshire side in the competition, and not since 2007 in the FA Cup.

Marti Cifuentes’ side have exited the tournament before the Third Round stage in four of the past five seasons but will be determined to upset Rob Edwards’ visitors.
