Southampton welcome Stoke City this October in a first-ever meeting between the two sides at St Mary’s in the Carabao Cup.

The Saints’ only previous clash with the Potters in the competition came in October 2014 in Staffordshire.

Russell Martin’s side reached the Fourth Round after coming out on top in a penalty shoot-out at Everton, and the 2022/23 semi-finalists will be keen to progress further in the competition this time around.

Their Championship visitors, who were last at this stage in 2021/22, eliminated Fleetwood Town in a low-scoring penalty shootout to set up this visit to the south coast.
