Aston Villa Under-21s host Bradford City at Villa Park this January in a round of 16 tie in the Vertu Trophy.

The Claret & Blues’ youngsters are the only under-21 side remaining in the competition and will be hoping to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament for the first time in the club’s history.

Villa finished second in Group D before eliminating Blackpool in the previous round via a record-breaking penalty shootout.

The Bantams had a 3-2 success at Stockport County to reach this stage of the Northern Section, after Graham Alexander’s men finished as runners-up to Rotherham United in Group H. The West Yorkshire side, currently just outside the play-offs in League Two, reached the semi-finals of this competition last season.

Supporters can pre-order a copy of the club’s renowned official match-day publication ‘The Villa News & Record’ from this tie, an A5 size 16pp issue, and have it delivered direct to their door.
