Aston Villa will stage a blockbuster first-leg encounter against LOSC Lille at Villa Park in early April in the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League.

Unai Emery’s men progressed into the last eight of the competition after topping Group 4 and then overcame Ajax 4-0 on aggregate in the round of 16.

The French club, who finished fifth in Ligue 1 last season, headed their qualifying group as well before cruising past Sturm Graz 4-1 in the previous round.

The Claret and Blues previously met Les Dogues in the 2002 UEFA Intertoto Cup, losing 3-1 over two legs, but will be keen to avenge that defeat 22 years on with a semi-final against Olympiacos or Fenerbahce up for grabs.
