Aston Villa host European heavyweights Paris St-Germain in a mouth-watering UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg at Villa Park this April.

The West Midlands side overcame Belgian side Club Brugge 6-1 on aggregate to book a place in the last eight of Europe’s elite club competition for the first time in 41 years, and for only the third time in the club’s history.

The French champions, who finished the League format in 15th spot, eliminated Brest and Liverpool to reach this stage of the competition. 

It sets up an intriguing reunion for Villa boss Unai Emery against his former employers, who he guided to the Ligue Un title in 2018, as well as for current loan star Marco Asencio to face his parent club.

Luis Enrique’s vibrant Parisians were semi-finalists in the competition last season and will be aiming to progress to the final four once again, where holders Real Madrid or Arsenal await, as they target a first-ever European Cup success. 

It is guaranteed to be a night of high drama in B6 and supporters can pre-order a copy of the club’s official match-day publication ‘The Villa News & Record’ for this first-ever competitive meeting between the two protagonists and have it delivered direct to their door.
