Last season’s double winners Celtic face Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen in the semi-final of the Premier Sports Cup in early November.

Brendan Rodgers’ side missed out on the chance of a domestic treble in 2024/25 by failing to reach this competition’s showpiece but will be intent on lifting more silverware at Hampden this time around.

The Hoops, who have won the prestigious trophy in three of the last five seasons, face Aberdeen in a final-four encounter on Saturday 2nd November after coming from behind to beat Championship leaders Falkirk 5-2.

The Dons have been in imperious form themselves this campaign and booked their semi-final spot with a convincing 4-0 win over lower-league opponents Spartans.

Last season’s beaten finalists, who lifted the trophy in 2014, will harbour ambitions of doing something special this year despite Jimmy Thelin’s side having not got the better of Celtic in their previous 25 meetings across all competitions.

This Premier Sports Cup semi-final clash is sure to be an enthralling affair and supporters can order the SPFL’s official matchday programme from the event.
