Manchester City host neighbours Salford City in the FA Cup this January in a first-ever competitive meeting between the two sides.

In a true David vs Goliath style encounter, Pep Guardiola’s reigning Premier League champions welcome the League Two minnows to the Etihad Stadium for an intriguing Third Round tie.

The Ammies, who are currently in the play-off places in the fourth-tier, are owned by Project 92 which includes a number of former Manchester United players to add extra spice to the occasion.

Karl Robinson’s side eliminated Shrewsbury Town and Cheltenham Town to reach the Third Round for the first time in the club’s history, while City have reached at least the semi-finals of the competition for the last six seasons.

Supporters can pre-order a copy of the club’s official match-day publication ‘City’ for this maiden cup meeting and have it delivered direct to their door.
