It’s an all-Championship encounter as Sunderland host Stoke City in the FA Cup this January for the first time since 1976.

The promotion-chasing Black Cats overcame the Potters 2-1 in December’s league encounter at the Stadium of Light, but this month’s cup clash will be the sides’ first meeting in the prestigious competition for nearly 50 years.

The two-time FA Cup-winning Wearsiders have only reached the Fourth Round once in the last nine campaigns, but will hope home advantage helps them progress this time around against their Staffordshire visitors.
